Gurpurab celebration

To commemorate the Birth Anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji , a special assembly was organized by the students of Blue Bird High School on 18th November’21. The Speech was delivered by one of the students to highlight the life events of Guruji. To symbolize the day Five students were adorned as Panj Pyare .Then the assembly was concluded by chanting of the Shabad .
Dusshera Celebration

Highlighting the significance of celebrating festivals, a special assembly on Dusshera was presented by the students of class 8. The celebration started with a prayer to Lord Rama, followed by speech on Dusshera. A show and tell activity was organised in which students made hand puppets of the characters from Ramayana and spoke about their qualities which they would like to instil in themselves. To mark the importance of Navratri and pairing of states under Ek Bharat Shreshthta Bharat programme of CBSE a speech was given by Umang of class 8 about the celebration of Bathukamma in Telangana on these days. A dance was also performed by students of class 8 on Telugu song. In the end Effigy of Ravana prepared by students was burnt to signify the victory of good over evil. The day brought more significance as many students were physically part of the assembly after a gap of almost 1 and a half year. It is hence proved that however bad the situation is, things come back to normal.

A floral tribute was paid to Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi Ji and Lal Bahadur Shastri Ji on their birth anniversaries on 2nd October. The students and teachers gathered virtually to paid special tributes to the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi ji and a man of peace Lal Bahadur Shastri ji. The students delivered thought of the day, speeches, poems, role play, and quotes on the life and principles of Mahatma Gandhi and Shastri Ji. All the students were imbued with Gandhian and Shastri values and thoughts and vowed to become berths citizens of India and this world. our school students also participated in the function which was held at Gandhi Samark,sector-16, Chandigarh The program started with the chanting of bhajan ‘Vaishnav Jan’ which was one of the favorite songs of Mahatma Gandhi’s with full exuberance and also two more patriotic songs were sung by the students. The function was headed by the honorable Administrator of Chandigarh (UT) Sh Banwarilal Purohit. Master Rajdeep Sen of our school played the role of Gandhi Ji. He was appreciated by all.
